First phase of Qatar's Water Taxi project completed; features Lusail Ferry Terminal and ferry stops

NewsThe first phase of Qatar's innovative Water Taxi project, which includes the Lusail Ferry Terminal and ferry stops at The Pearl and Corniche, has been finished by the Ministry of Transport (MOT). Over 450 maritime businesses and brands participated in the Qatar Boat Show, which was hosted at Old Doha Port, where the news was made.
The Water Taxi concept promises environmentally friendly, state-of-the-art transportation systems that seamlessly integrate with Qatar's public transportation infrastructure, which includes the Sila infrastructure. The 2,200-square-meter Lusail Ferry Terminal has retail establishments, ticketing and waiting areas, and electric charging pontoons. With plans for a northern route in phase three, phase two will extend to important areas including Katara, Hamad International Airport, and Al-Wakra.
Visitors could explore cutting-edge yacht repair solutions like Skipper Plus and computerized vessel services at the MOT booth. Advanced ship technology was the focus of panel discussions with the International Maritime Organization.
