At the 26th Meeting Committee of the Ministers of Transport of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf in Qatar, Qatar's Minister of Transport, H E Jassim Saif Ahmed Al Sulaiti, announced that the ambitious GCC Railways Project, a cutting-edge network connecting Gulf Countries, is on track to be completed by 2030.
Minister Al Sulaiti emphasized the transportation sector's critical role in propelling the region in his opening remarks. He highlighted how the project might link economic centers to international markets and improve commerce, logistics, and sustainable growth.
Al Sulaiti remarked that this initiative will connect industrial and economic zones to important ports, boosting their global economic role and fortifying trade ties with Asia and Europe, in addition to streamlining trade and logistics between our nations.
Important developments were also discussed at the meeting, such as the GCC Railways Authority's advancements, land transportation laws, and maritime standards, which urged cooperation in reshaping connectivity in the Gulf.
