General Directorate of Traffic announced that it will release new significant numbers through the Sooum App

Starting on December 18, 2023, the General Directorate of Traffic stated that it will disseminate new noteworthy figures via the Sooum App. 

People may bid on the number plates using the'show interest' feature on the app. Those who are interested can select a number, make a deposit, and then wait for a predetermined amount of time. The number will be sold at the specified price even if just one individual expresses interest. According to the Ministry of Interior's announcement, "an internal bidding will be held between those interested" if many people selected the same licence plate.

In October, the Ministry of Interior introduced the 'Sooum' mobile application to facilitate the department's frequent auctions as part of its endeavours to provide electronic services.
