General Directorate of Traffic announces the availability of license plates bearing the Expo 2023 Doha logo

The release of licence plates with the Expo 2023 Doha emblem is announced by the General Directorate of Traffic.  The notification states that the licence plates will be accessible starting tomorrow, November 16, 2023, and that installation instructions will be provided. By paying the required amount, interested drivers can obtain the licence plate. 

Additionally, the Ministry of Interior stated that anyone, including those registering a car for the first time, is not required to get the new licence plate; registration for interested drivers is simple and free of charge.

It went on to say that private licence plates are the only ones that can use the emblem. "Counterfeiting and installing the logo are strictly prohibited and violators may face legal counsequences," the Ministry added in warning.
