All carriages in the metro will be changed to Standard Class starting from November 11, 2022, as announced by the Doha Metro. The Gold and Family Class will be suspended until December 22, 2022. This step is being taken to increase the train capacity during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
37 metro stations, 7 tram stations and an entire fleet of Metro trains and trams will be operational from 6am to 3am throughout the week except on Fridays when the service will start at 9am.
