A significant modernisation effort for Hamad General Hospital is being initiated by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), involving a thorough update of the hospital's infrastructure and systems. According to Hamad Nasser Abdulla Al Khalifa, chief of health facilities development at HMC, the remodelling, which is anticipated to take three years in total, would greatly improve the patient experience.
Beginning in 2025, the first phase of the renovations will focus on updating the two inpatient towers and the ground level underneath them. After the necessary work, this refurbishment program will provide patients with single rooms, cutting-edge technical equipment, and contemporary surroundings that will enhance their experience of receiving care as per Al Khalifa.
The complete relocation plan involving the services moving out of Hamad General Hospital will be announced soon.
