Hamad International Airport announced the launch of ‘dedicated screening lanes for families’ on Monday

Taking your family through the airport may be a stressful experience. However, Hamad International Airport (HIA) announced the opening of "dedicated screening lanes for families" on Monday in an effort to make travelling easier for families. There will be shorter wait times at security checks thanks to the family lanes reserved for travellers with small children. 

Families will receive assistance in managing their personal things from trained staff members. The project highlights HIA's commitment to giving everyone a smooth and effective travel experience by reducing stress and wait times. Passengers using these dedicated lanes will provide HIA with comments and recommendations for improvement so that HIA can further improve the experience and make sure it is customised to match the needs of travellers. It will be extended to additional security checkpoints after a successful trial phase at the transfer screening area, guaranteeing families have a hassle-free travel experience. 

The HIA keeps raising the bar for contemporary air travel by putting the needs of passengers and safety first at every turn. More than 95% of travellers now wait less than five minutes to pass through security at security checkpoints thanks to HIA's remarkable reduction in passenger wait times over the years. It has also raised the degree of security at the airport.

Electronic gadgets and liquid containers may be kept in hand baggage at checkpoints for passengers transferring through the airport, expediting the security procedure and earning extremely good customer feedback—97.2% of passengers expressed pleasure with this feature.
