NewsHamad International Airport (DOH) is improving the airport experience for its passengers by using innovative digital navigation. QR Codes are used to give simple navigation solutions via various digital touchpoints strategically situated around the airport's enormous terminal. Passengers will experience frictionless wayfinding whether navigating from ORCHARD to LampBear, sampling one of the airport's various food or shopping options, or locating a departure gate.
To further help travellers with their navigation needs, QR Codes are provided throughout the airport via Flight Information Display Screens, Passenger Digital Assistance Kiosks, and other crucial touchpoints. The new digital solution is compatible with all mobile devices, and travellers may utilise this service by connecting to Hamad International Airport's next generation Wi-Fi.
ORCHARD Digital Concierges provide information on retail and F&B offerings, travel information, leisure and rejuvenation choices, and airport attractions. Travellers may use their mobile device to scan the QR code and go to their desired site of interest. To enhance the passenger experience, the airport has also installed Passenger Digital Assistance Kiosks at the airport's North Plaza and surrounding the famous LampBear.
As part of its digital transformation plan, Hamad International Airport is continually investing in cutting-edge technology and new solutions that will optimise operations and give passengers with a more smooth and enhanced airport experience. Since its inception in 2014, the airport has been dedicated to developing and building an unrivalled airport experience for travellers and business partners.
