Hamad International Airport is all set to provide its passengers with a smooth travel experience

NewsHamad International Airport (HIA) is prepared to offer its passengers a seamless travel experience as the Eid Al Fitr travel season draws near. To guarantee a seamless travel experience, HIA remarked its departing guests to check-in online and arrive three hours ahead to their departure. Before heading to border control, travellers may check in, print boarding passes and bag tags, tag their baggage and drop them off at the bag drop counters using the airport's self-service check-in and bag-drop facilities.
Citizens and residents can use e-gates to speed up the immigration process, provided they are not travelling with minors under the age of 18. We would like to remind passengers that check-in ends sixty minutes before departure. Airlines will strictly enforce luggage allowance and weight limitations, thus it is recommended that passengers inquire about baggage policies directly from the airline of their choice. It is best not to travel with oversized or unusually large bags. Passengers in the departure hall have access to a baggage repack facility equipped with luggage weighing machines.
Travellers are requested to use the designated parking facilities rather than leaving their cars alone at curbside for security reasons.
Passengers are asked to make sure they are not carrying any forbidden goods, such as aerosols, gels, or liquids, and to place any liquid containers in a transparent plastic bag that can be sealed again, with a capacity of no more than 100 millilitres. For X-ray screening, bigger electronics than cell phones need to be taken out of bags and put on trays. Hoverboards and other small lithium-battery-powered vehicles are not allowed for transportation.
Passengers are also encouraged to minimise their pet travel. It is recommended that travellers use the wrapping stations within the terminal to secure their luggage.
