Extending the triumph of 2022's Once Upon a Bag and 2023's Harnessing the Roots, which took place at the same location, this show is the third and last installment of the Hermès Heritage exhibition series.
Following in the footsteps of the generations of creators and craftsmen, the Hermès Heritage cycle of travelling exhibitions delves into the history of the house founded in 1837 by Thierry Hermès, highlighting its iconic themes, colours, and objects from its beginnings as a harness and saddler to the present.
In the chapter "In Motion," items that have the impulse to fly, travel, and explore are featured. Hermès was founded during a momentous period in history when contemporary life was rapidly advancing and people's primary desire was to move freely in a busy and ever-changing environment. Hermès designs proceed in the same light, graceful, and clever way whether one is travelling at a trot or a gallop, on foot, horseback, by automobile, bicycle, skateboard, or aeroplane, or by any other manner.
