Increase in interest rates has been announced by Qatar Central Bank for the month of November

Qatar Central Bank (QCB) announced in a tweet that the bank will be increasing its interest rates for deposits, lending, and repurchases as follows:

Raise the QCB Deposit Rate (QCBDR) by 75 basis points to 4.50%.

Raise the QCB Lending Rate (QCBLR) by 50 basis points to 5.00%.

Raise the QCB Repurchase Rate (QCB Repo Rate) by 75 points to 4.75%.

This increase is made considering the evolving domestic and international macroeconomic developments in Qatar. The increase will be effective by 3 November 2022.
