Invest Qatar announced the launch of ‘Startup Qatar’, a one-stop online platform catering to all business requirements

The Investment Promotion Agency of Qatar (Invest Qatar) has declared the opening of "Startup Qatar," a one-stop online hub for all business needs and the only all-inclusive national resource for opportunities, assistance, and information available to entrepreneurs. Through its dedicated website (startupqatar.qa), the new effort will link firms to the nation's funding and incubation programmes, government grants, networking events, and numerous other resources. 

The "Startup Qatar" project was introduced in advance of the first edition of Web Summit Qatar, the largest technological event in the region and throughout the world. It provides company establishment with incentives including tax and fee exemptions.

A five-year tax relief, managed by QFC in compliance with global norms, is available to qualifying entrepreneurs. Additional incentives include free five-year licence renewals and registration from QFC, free shared office space in one of the top local incubators in Qatar, lodging advantages and free entrepreneur visas. Not less important, entrepreneurs can seek for equity capital through the Qatar Development Bank's (QDB) Startup Qatar Investment Programme.

Furthermore, Invest Qatar has revealed intentions to provide exclusive services and possibilities at the Web Summit Qatar as part of its new project.

In association with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), QDB, QFC, Qatar Free Zones Authority (QFZ), Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), Media City Qatar (MCQ), Qatar Manpower Solutions (Jusour), Visit Qatar, and Sport Accelerator, these special benefits will be available at the "Startup Qatar" Pavilion at Web Summit Qatar. The Pavilion will offer immediate assistance with startup, incubation, acceleration, and consulting support as well as company establishment, licencing, talent recruiting, and immigration counsel.

The "Startup Qatar" Pavilion, situated in Hall 1, E 105, is open to Web Summit delegates by invitation from Invest Qatar. There, they may discover the friendly business climate of the nation and the fascinating prospects in the developing IT sector of Qatar.
