The Lusail Shooting Complex will host the ISSF World Cup Shotgun Doha 2023 from March 4. Over 450 marksmen from 63 countries will vie for top honours. The eight-day tournament is organised by the Qatar Shooting & Archery Association under the auspices of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF).
The 2023 ISSF World Cup includes a series of 12 tournaments being held in 11 countries while the Shotgun competition in Qatar will be the second of six similar events.
Deputy Director of the Championship Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti said the Lusail Complex is all set to host the high-profile tournament and ready to deliver a good competition.
Hosts Qatar will field five shooters in each category, skeet and trap for both men and women at the tournament.
Deputy General Manager of the Championship Jassim Shaheen Al Sulaiti said the hosts are aiming for a number of podium spots at the event, with high hopes on Olympian Rashid Al Athba and female shooter Reem Al Sharshani.
