This Eid Al Adha, the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara is getting ready to host a special line-up of events that will include a number of gift-giving for children and other fun activities.
On the first and second days of Eid, Katara will distribute Eidiya to kids inside the car, in the evening period at the main Katara entrances. The gifts are carefully chosen based on different age groups and gender.
In Building 18, a series of activities for children from the first to the third days of Eid is set to take place, from 3pm until 9pm. Among these activities are four plays, the first is entitled “Friends of Nature”; the second tells about forest animals; the third is a silent play that consists of sketches; and the fourth relates to At Khayal Al Shade Theatre, which includes a show of giant puppets.
The activities of Children’s Theatre start at 4pm and will continue until 6pm. After 6pm, workshops for children will continue which include: painting on canvas, forming balloons, cartoon character shows, face painting, and ceramic painting. Gifts, comprising colouring books and t-shirts, will also be distributed among kids.
Al Thuraya Planetarium presents interesting movies, including some in 3D, for fans. This starts on the second day until the fourth day of Eid Al Adha, wherein three shows will be held daily, starting from 5pm to 7pm. Among the shows are: Polaris Show, The Zula Patrol Show, The Astronaut, and The Stars.
Katara Beach, meanwhile, will receive visitors from 3pm to 10pm. The beach offers a 50 percent discount on water sports, and entry is free for those under the age of 18.
And at the Katara Drama Theatre, the play ‘Karim Challenges the Leader’ will be shown from July 9 to 12. Two shows per day will be held — first at 5pm and the second at 7pm.
