Largest and expansive edition of Qatar Kite Festival 2025 unfolds in three iconic locations

The Qatar Kite Festival 2025 will be the biggest and most comprehensive edition, taking place in three iconic locations: the Sealine dunes, the Doha Marathon by Ooredoo, and Old Doha Port.

Safe Flight Solutions' event will begin at Sealine from January 16–18, setting the stage for amazing kite demonstrations against the backdrop of the desert.

Kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors will fly over Hotel Park during the Doha Marathon by Ooredoo from January 16–17, giving a vibrant sight to the athletic atmosphere.

Old Doha Port serves as the main location from January 19 to 25, according to Safe Flight Solutions chief executive Hassan al-Mousawi.

Alongside seminars, exhibitions, and cultural performances, kites will soar, providing a thrilling draw for both locals and tourists in Qatar as well as passengers on overseas cruises.

A variety of food vendors and activations, such as a children's carnival and candy drops, will add to the lively mood.

More than 60 expert kite flyers from more than 20 nations, including China, France, and Belgium, will compete in this year's competition.

China's 1,000-disc centipede kite and the distinctive kites with a Qatari theme are two of the most notable designs.

In an effort to promote sustainability, the festival will showcase biodegradable kite materials and other eco-friendly inventions.
