The Qatari delegation at the four-day Cityscape Global 2024 exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was chaired by the Minister of Municipality, H E Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiyah. Al Attiyah gave a speech during the conference, outlining the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the major initiatives now in progress to build a knowledge-based, sustainable society.
Initiatives to create a national framework document for development and management of natural resources, a comprehensive strategy for the development of open space, recreation, and sport facilities, a comprehensive national infrastructure plan, and a comprehensive national infrastructure database project are some of the projects currently underway, the Minister added.
According to him, Lusail City is undergoing a smart city transformation in accordance with QNV 2030 in order to satisfy the increasing demand for smart cities around the world.
According to His Excellency, this change will be entirely focused on the user experience and will leverage artificial intelligence and real-time data analysis to improve efficiency, sustainability, and integrated communication. The Minister and the accompanying group visited the exhibition and learned about the most recent developments in smart city technology as well as the newest concepts and designs for infrastructure and architecture.
