Lusail Sports Club delivers FIFA World Cup legacy ahead of big kick-off

News FIFA World CupThe Al Egla training site in Lusail City has become a bustling hub in recent years. It is home to the Lucille Sports Club and provides football training to girls and boys from the city and beyond every week.
Al Egla is a prime example of Qatar's tournament tradition near Lusail Stadium, which will host the Lusail Super Cup on Friday 9 September and the FIFA World Cup Final on Qatar National Day.
In addition to hosting Korea Republic and Tunisia during the FIFA World Cup™ from November 21 to December 18, it also provides an important community amenity for the ever-growing city of Lucille.
Lusail SC has a senior team that currently competes in the Qatargas League – the tier below the top tier Qatar Stars League – along with youth teams for players aged 3-23.
Lusail SC President Nawaf Al Mudahka said the community spirit runs through the club's DNA.
"It's a community space - not just a sports club," Al Mudahka said. “These world-class facilities are for the residents of Lucille. They gather people from different cultures and nationalities to train here. Players start at a very young age and can go into the first team.
