Meryal Waterpark secured three awards at the Park World Excellence Ceremony 2024 held in Amsterdam

The top aquatic attraction in Qatar, Meryal Waterpark, won three prizes at the Park World Excellence Ceremony in 2024. Held in Amsterdam, the waterpark received praise for its inventiveness, friendliness, and cultural significance.

Meryal's outstanding blend of cultural tradition and modern design was recognised with the Best Waterpark of the Year award, establishing it as a top attraction on the international waterpark scene. 

The Icon Tower, which took up the second place prize for Best Waterpark Experience, is a major feature. This magnificent building, referred to as "The Rig 1938," was inspired by the area's extensive oil and gas industry heritage.

In addition to its eye-catching architecture, Icon Tower is well-known for its valiant attempts to break records for the highest waterslide and the most slides on a single tower. With 12 slides in all, including interconnecting tunnels, the tower offers visitors of all ages an exhilarating trip. 

The park also took up the Best Product Innovation award for Icon Tower, a collection of water slides with a height of almost 85 meters.
