Ministry announces tuesday holiday for all Schools in Qatar ahead of National Referendum

Doha, Qatar: To support active participation in the 2024 constitutional amendment referendum, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced that November 5, 2024, will be a holiday for all educational institutions in Qatar.

In a statement on social media, the ministry specified, "Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will be a holiday for all public and private schools across Qatar, including both academic and administrative school staff."

The ministry clarified that this decision aims to enable citizens, especially those aged 18 and above, to take part in the national referendum. However, the notice does not apply to universities and other higher education institutions within the country.
