NewsWith participation from 75 students from public and private schools in Qatar who took part in a two-day training programme, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has launched the second edition of the Student Awareness Competition Talks (SACT) in collaboration with the US Embassy in Qatar. The training programme comprised a variety of theoretical and practical training sessions to develop students' public speaking abilities, strengthen their leadership abilities, and get them involved in productive conversation.
The awareness competition helps students develop their public speaking and leadership skills by teaching them how to speak English clearly and confidently in front of an audience. The competition's subject this year is "How do you see Qatar in 2030," and participants' kids will practise speaking in front of an audience about problems associated with the competition's theme and solutions to problems.
Students will have the chance to practise critical thinking techniques and the art of public discourse during the competition, which will help them become more aware of the problems and areas they want to grow and improve. The judging and assessment phase of the tournament will start in January 2024, while the closing ceremony will take place in February 2024.
