Ministry of Municipality has digitalised waste disposal permit service to be launched on March 30

The digital waste disposal permit service, developed by the Ministry of Municipality, is scheduled to go live on March 30, 2024. The new service will allow the recipient to apply for a permit to dispose of waste in a landfill or dumpsite owned by the ministry. It can automatically issue permits right away without staff intervention by connecting with the Ministry of Interior to validate all necessary documentation.

A workshop on the trial launch of the new trash disposal permit service was held yesterday for government agencies, institutions, and private sector enterprises by the Waste Recycling and Treatment Department, on behalf of the Ministry of Municipality. 

In order to familiarise the beneficiaries to the new service ahead of the official launch on March 30, International Day of Zero Waste, this is timed to coincide with Global Recycling Day.
