MoCI stopped providing several services in governmental services centers after implementing Single Window Services Platform

After a variety of services became electronically accessible through the Single Window Services Platform (SW), Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) ceased offering them at all government service centres. Such a move is consistent with MoCI's desire to coordinate the efforts of various governmental bodies in the direction of digital transformation and to speed up the processes required to improve the business climate in the State of Qatar.

The addition of a new branch, change of trade name, change of trade name and activities, amendment of individual data, change of trade activities, change of location, change of manager-in-charge, and renewal of a trade licence are among the services at governmental services centres that have been suspended, according to the ministry.

In order to speed up and digitise processes, promote the quality of services provided to individuals and businesses, and improve governmental administrative operations, MoCI previously launched a package of smart electronic services on SW. This launch was seen as a paradigm shift in MoCI's approach to dealing with the public and supported the country's vision of creating a knowledge economy.
