MoEHE has launched Training Camps Programme to give students a rich educational experience based on STEMFD

NewsTo give students a rich educational experience based on STEMFD (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, finance, and digital science), the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has created the Training Camps Programme.
The purpose of the conference was to introduce the Scientific Camp for Training Students and the International Junior Science Olympiad 2023.
Omar Al Nama, the assistant undersecretary for private education affairs, principals of public, international, and private schools, over 50 children, their parents, educational mentors, and instructors from the scientific club at government schools were among those present at the event.
According to Maha Al Ruwaili, assistant undersecretary for educational affairs at MoEHE, the meeting was held in accordance with the ministry's strategy, which lays out a plan for constructing an advanced educational system that will give citizens specific opportunities for education and training, skill development, and self-improvement.
As she went on to further explain the Training Camps Programme, she said: "The initiative carefully brings together learners and teachers to ensure the provision of balanced education, practical experience, and life skills, and provides an opportunity to build a community of learners capable of solving life problems in a scientific manner, using their skills in teamwork and cooperation."
She stated that the program's goal is to inspire students to achieve their full potential, to be as motivated as possible, to push them to succeed in science and technology streams, and to provide them with motivating practical knowledge that shapes their orientations towards enrolling in the university-level educational programmes the nation needs to keep up with rapid development. Al Ruwaili pointed out that these camps will provide students an unrestricted challenge in activities requiring developing, inventing, and implementing solutions to real-world issues the globe faced by embracing sustainability principles.
The programmes, according to her, will be run under the direction of the best trainers and teachers, and will teach students about Qatar, help them make friends with students from other schools, and allow them to share experiences that will help them in school both personally and socially.
From May 3 to May 15, the Scientific Camp for Training Students will be held on the grounds of the Scientific Club and Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa). The training courses have sustainability as a central subject, and the students will learn about food preservation, water security, and green energy.
The International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO), which will take place from December 1–10, 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand, had its goals assessed by Fatima Al Rashed, Head of the Science Section of the Ministry's Educational Guidance Department.
She said that the Olympiad will identify exceptional kids, enhancing their experiences, increasing their capacities, honing their skills, assisting them in determining their scientific preferences, establishing their long-term objectives, and fostering a spirit of intellectual rivalry.
