MoI announced that the 50% discount value for traffic violations has been extended three months further

The Ministry of Interior's (MoI) General Traffic Directorate declared that a three-month extension of the 50% discount value for moving breaches has been granted. The extension will go into effect on September 1, 2024, until November 30, 2024.

This extension will apply to all cars, including those of citizens, residents, and tourists, as well as citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The discount will be applied to infractions that have been documented for a maximum of three years. The first day of the discount period was June 1, 2024.

Additionally, starting on September 1, 2024, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) declared that anyone having a driving infraction would not be allowed to leave Qatar through any borders until all fines and outstanding payments were settled.
