MoPH in collaboration with HMC and PHCC, launched the annual seasonal influenza vaccination campaign

The yearly seasonal influenza vaccination program has been started by the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in association with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC). 

Starting on October 1, more than 80 hospitals and clinics in Qatar, including 31 PHCC Health Centres, as well as many semi-government and private hospitals and clinics, will provide free flu shots during the 2024–25 winter season.

In order to avoid contracting the flu this year before winter arrives, people should take preventative measures, according to Dr. Abdullatif Al Khal, Head of the Infectious Diseases Division at HMC. 

Dr. Khalid Hamid Elawad, Manager of Health Protection at the Preventive Health Directorate at PHCC, urged the public to be vaccinated against the flu as soon as possible to develop immunity before winter arrives in the upcoming months.
