Netflix documentary series ‘Captains of the World, offers an exclusive glimpse into Middle East’s first-ever World Cup

NewsOn Monday, Netflix's YouTube channel unveiled the first official teaser for "Captains of the World," a new documentary series that provides a unique glimpse into Qatar 2022, the Middle East's first World Cup. Produced in collaboration with FIFA+ and spanning six episodes, the documentary series will feature never-before-seen tournament video as well as behind-the-scenes looks at action from many stadiums in Qatar.
The video features various standout moments from the Qatar tournament's games in addition to brief excerpts from in-depth conversations with numerous captains of the competing national teams.
Among the prominent figures are Lionel Messi, the captain of Argentina; Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal; Kylian Mbappe of France; Harry Kane of England; Luka Modric of Croatia; Kalidou Koulibaly of Senegal; Gareth Bale of Wales; and Simon Kjaer of Denmark.
Captains of the World will make its Netflix debut on December 30.
