New electronic document attestation services launched offering electronic attestation of police clearance and educational certificates

NewsThrough its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday introduced new electronic document attestation services. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has verified government school credentials, and the Ministry of Interior has produced police clearance certificates. The new services provide electronic authentication for these certifications.
The new services enable beneficiaries to electronically attest documents instantly and around-the-clock without having to visit government service centres or the Attestation Section of the Department of Consular Affairs building in the Diplomatic Area, according to HE Mohammed Abdullah Al Subaie, Director of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He said that the application process takes one minute to receive an electronically certified document and that they can be accessed through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website. To apply for the service, one must log in using the National Authentication System.
His Excellency mentioned a number of services that beneficiaries can use on the Ministry's website to attest documents. He also explained that the public will receive support for electronic services in nine languages, seven days a week, and 24 hours a day. Receiving and delivering documents will be done in collaboration with Qatar Post and the Government Contact Centre (109).
A number of new electronic services will be added to the website https://mofa.gov.qa/ in the near future, according to HE Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Naemi, Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Information Technology Department. This is part of the Ministry's eagerness to digitise and facilitate services for beneficiaries.
