In comparison to November 2022, aircraft movements in the nation increased by 7% last month, according to the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority. The Authority recently shared the most current Preliminary Airport Transport Statistics, which indicate remarkable numbers in November 2023, in a post on X. In November 2022, Qatar had 20,746 aircraft movements; in the same month this year, 22,195 aircraft movements were noted.
Comparing November 2023 to the same month the previous year, there was a 23.2% increase in passengers. In November 2023, 3.9 million passengers took flights, according to the authorities. However, the officials said that 3.2 million people travelled through Qatar in the same time frame the previous year.
Conversely, compared to the same month in 2022, air freight and mail had a significant rise of 13.2 percent. 210,484 tonnes of aviation freight and mail were transported this month as opposed to 185,926 tonnes the year before. Nonetheless, compared to 193,686 tonnes in October of the previous year, air freight and mail showed a notable increase of 10.2 percent to 213,398 tonnes in October 2023.
