Number of visitors to Qatar by the end of October 2024 reaches a new high of 4 million

According to Qatar Tourism, the number of visitors has surpassed the entire number of visitors in 2023 and set a new high of 4 million by the end of October 2024. Compared to the same period in 2023, the number of foreign tourists has increased by 26% so far this year. 

This suggests that even greater numbers could be achieved by the end of 2024, particularly given the start of the winter season and the variety of events scheduled for this time frame.

41.8% of visitors are GCC citizens, while the rest 58.2% are from other countries. Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Indian Republic, United Kingdom, Kingdom of Bahrain, United States of America, State of Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman, Federal Republic of Germany, United Arab Emirates, and People's Republic of China are among the top ten tourist markets. 

5.96% of visitors arrived by sea, 37.84% by land, and 56.2% by air so far. As part of Qatar's improved tourism infrastructure, the hospitality industry has also expanded dramatically, eventually topping 40,053 hotel keys as of September 2024.
