A packed schedule of activities for the full month of January has been revealed by the Old Doha Port. The port's official social media accounts state that the event will take place till January 7 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and will include interactive activities with jugglers, stilt walkers, magicians, and animated mascots. The port now has 13 new murals from local and international artists from the World Wide Walls mural festival, adding to its colourful flair.
A vibrant roaming procession sets a colourful scene, four times a day, against the distinctive backdrop of the port, adding to the festivities.
The Custom Show Parade on January 19 will display an array of vintage automobiles, the parade being inspired by the popularity of a similar event in October of last year.
The activities leading up to the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023 will delight football fans, especially the official mascots' appearance today, January 5–6, from 4–10 p.m. Saboog, Tmbki, Freha, Zkriti, and Traeneh are the five members of the desert rodent family that visitors can encounter. Other tournament-related activities will take place between January 12 and February 10.
The Old Doha Port will host the much-awaited Visit Qatar Kite Festival's second edition from January 25 to February 3. This version, unlike the one held in the Museum of Islamic Art Park, will showcase enormous kites flown by sixty participants worldwide against the backdrop of Old Doha Port, which is both historical and contemporary.
The purpose of the event, which is being staged in front of the cruise port, is to attract foreign tourists during the busy cruise season, which runs through April.
Qatar Tourism also included additional events that took place during the month.
