In collaboration with Atiq Art Forum, the Souq Waqif Arts Centre hosted the opening of its "Out of the Box" exhibition on Sunday. The show is the result of a creative workshop that Atiq Art Forum hosted for 21 artists over two days on Friday and Saturday. Through a variety of unconventional artistic mediums, artists have incorporated both Souq Waqif's historical significance and Qatar's legacy in their works. Artist Mohammed Al Atiq gave a statement to Qatar News Agency explaining that the forum's focus was to capture history in a fresh, modern manner that involves more thought than just drawing talents, while still thinking beyond the box.
