According to Lusail International Circuit (LIC), the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East will round out the three support races for the Formula 1 extravaganza next month. The one-make series, which will take place from November 29 to December 1, will coincide with the F1 Academy and FIA Formula 2 Championship on the penultimate date of the 2024 Formula 1 season. It is expected to be one of the most intense weekends of the year.
One practice session, one qualifying round, and two intense races feature exhilarating sprints and wheel-to-wheel battles amongst the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 vehicles. Who makes it to the podium is determined by pure skill, talent, and teamwork within a grid of about 15 cars with similar technical specs.
Among the thrilling support events that the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East will be a part of is F1 Academy, a fiercely competitive all-female racing series created to develop and advance talented female drivers to higher levels of competitiveness.
The FIA Formula 2 Championship, an exciting one-make, single-seater race with 22 identical cars that gives drivers the chance to show off their skills in front of Formula 1 fans, will come next. The thrilling Formula 1 Sprint Race will return to LIC, along with the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS QATAR GRAND PRIX 2024, which is held on the last day of the racing weekend.
November 29 marks the start of the exciting three-day celebration of motorsport. The entertainment lineup will be headlined by international superstars Maroon 5 and local phenomenon Myriam Fares, capping off an incredible weekend of music and racing.
