Qatar Airways announces a new codeshare partnership with Xiamen Airlines; daily service between Daxing International Airport and Hamad International Airport

The first Chinese airline to run passenger nonstop flights from Mainland China to Qatar, Xiamen Airlines, and Qatar Airways are thrilled to announce a new codeshare relationship. 

In accordance with the partnership agreement, Xiamen Airlines will begin daily service between Daxing International Airport in Beijing and Hamad International Airport, which is home to Qatar Airways and its cutting-edge Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The flights, which will start on October 20, 2023, will arrive in Doha at 22:45 and depart at 02:00, giving customers the best connections possible to important markets outside of Doha, including the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Xiamen Airlines will begin operating two weekly flights from Xiamen, a special economic zone in the Fujian Sheng province, to Doha in addition to the flights from Beijing. The flights start on October 31, 2023, and offer the same seamless access to Qatar Airways' network as the Beijing flights. They depart from Xiamen for Doha at 19:30 in the evening and arrive from Doha at 5:00 in the morning. 

This would significantly increase Qatar Airways' footprint in Mainland China, where it now serves 6 destinations with a total of 31 weekly flights, followed by double-daily flights to Hong Kong. Qatar Airways will codeshare on these new flights. Xiamen Airlines will place its marketing code on Qatar Airways flights to and from Beijing as part of the new partnership.
