NewsIn the aviation sector, Qatar has emerged as a real global powerhouse, demonstrating its resilience once again. With its award-winning national airline, Qatar Airways, and Hamad International Airport (HIA), the nation has transformed into an essential bridge and gateway to the globe.
The airport, passenger growth, and connectivity have affected the nation's economic and worldwide influence, according to Mustafa Fakhri, Advisor for Air Transport Statistics and Information at the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), in a recent edition of the Qatar Sky Magazine. Qatar's GDP growth is still rising as a result, and the leisure sector is greatly boosted.
Nearly 46 million people travelled through Qatar's airport last year, setting a record and growing at a rate of 28.5 percent over the previous year.
The advisor stated that the airport's increasing appeal to tourists from across the world may be attributed to its persistent focus on providing excellent customer service, running smoothly, and adding new aircraft routes. This remarkable accomplishment in the aviation industry boosts Qatar's economy in several ways.
Fakhri commended HIA and Qatar Airways for its connectivity, which has made the nation a top travel destination for both business and pleasure.
"The ease of travel has greatly boosted the business and tourism sectors in Qatar by attracting major conferences, international events, and multinational corporations," he said.
