Qatar Foundation launched Green Island, a unique recycling hub to promote eco-friendly living practices

Green Island, a novel recycling centre created to encourage environmentally responsible lifestyle choices, was introduced by the Qatar Foundation today, marking the start of Qatar Sustainability Week 2024. 

Green Island, a community-focused recycling hub with interactive displays, seminars, and educational exhibits that provide visitors a hands-on learning experience, is housed inside Qatar Foundation's (QF) Education City. Additionally, it has a self-service recycling station with seven primary recycling streams for electronics, batteries, paper, plastic, glass, and metals.
