NewsSupporting academic research, especially for multidisciplinary efforts that seek significant change is within Qatar Foundation’s (QF) higher education priority areas, said Samah Abdulhafid Gamar, Ph.D., Director, Academic Affairs, Qatar Foundation. According to her, the formal orientation to Qatar Foundation took place on August 22. This year, the organisation welcomed around forty new faculty members. "This year's new faculty members contribute to a dynamic and interdisciplinary academic environment at Education City universities with an impressive range of accolades and expertise."
Leading the way in developing cutting-edge pedagogical frameworks for instruction and learning is also top of the agenda. It seeks to raise awareness of critical and culturally sensitive teaching and learning strategies, especially in the context of the community. This entails incorporating pedagogies that respect and represent the students' varied cultural origins and cultivating an academic atmosphere that values candid discussion and critical analysis. The agenda intends to improve student involvement in academics and raise their capacity for making a social impact by deliberately establishing spaces for professors and students to focus on culturally appropriate material and inclusive teaching approaches. Assisting Qatar Foundation students in making the connections between global viewpoints and their cultural identities and values would help them take on more active civic roles both within and outside of Qatar.
