NewsEstablishing a 'Centre of Excellence' devoted to data and new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, is part of Qatar's plans to implement its National Development Strategy 3, or NDS3. The nation wants to be at the forefront of digital government and has committed to digitising 90% of its citizen services by 2030. It places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction levels that surpass 85%.
"A specialist Centre of Excellence for data and new technologies, including AI, will be developed to drive many projects in order to attain this goal. As part of this, a thorough national framework for data governance and management is being developed, which should guarantee better data availability and quality.
The effort focuses on enhancing system collaboration, improving data quality, and creating a comprehensive national data governance framework. The plan also presents a comprehensive approach that includes modernising service delivery, enhancing accountability, and guaranteeing that current information is widely available.
In addition, the problem of restricted access to current information will be tackled, guaranteeing simple access to official reports, modifications to policies, and publicly available data. "Adherence to SLAs within and between governmental entities is also expected to exceed 80%," it stated. As a major step towards smart cities and creative solutions, Qatar works with important industrial players to promote digitalization across sectors.
