Red light signal violations on the road can result in serious accidents, according to a warning from the Qatari Ministry of Interior. Authorities issued a warning that breaking the law or doing anything else that puts other cars on the road in danger will result in harsh punishment.
A violation that could cause death or serious injury carries a severe penalty. A 6,000 riyal fine will be applied in accordance with the legislation. The car may also be seized in certain circumstances. The vehicle may be held for up to ninety days in accordance with the traffic law.
