Qatar Ministry of Communications and Information Technology sealed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority on Monday

The State of Qatar, through the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), signed a cooperation agreement with the Digital Government Authority (DGA) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday, marking a significant step towards improving digital governance. 

With an emphasis on competency upgrading, research and development in cutting-edge technologies within the digital government sector, and capacity building, the agreement highlights a shared commitment to enhancing collaboration in government digital transformation. 

This historic agreement represents a major step forward in the development of digital projects between the two countries and covers a number of other important areas related to digital governance and the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.

On the fringes of the "LEAP 2024" conference, which has as its theme "Into New Worlds" and is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from March 4–7, 2024, the cooperation agreement was signed by the ministers of communications and information technology of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HE Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha, and Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai.

Qatar's strong participation in international technology platforms is demonstrated by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's attendance at the "LEAP 2024" conference. Every year, professionals and specialists from all over the world come to Riyadh to examine the newest technology developments and their effects on society. It is an essential platform for discussing subjects like blockchain, smart cities, artificial intelligence (AI), and the digital economy.
