NewsQatar Museums has unveiled revised admission prices for all of its top-tier museums, galleries, exhibits, and historical sites, demonstrating its commitment to making culture accessible and affordable for everyone.
All residents and nationals of Qatar may enter all venues and heritage sites for free with presentation of a valid QID, according to a statement from Qatar Museums.
The National Museum of Qatar, Museum of Islamic Art, and 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum will charge a 50 QAR admission fee for non-Qatari citizens beginning on May 31, 2023. This fee gives visitors access to the permanent collections as well as any current shows.
Additionally, both Qataris and non-Qataris will no longer be charged entry to the Al Zubarah Fort or Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, both of which are located in Education City.
In order to ensure that everyone can access the arts and cultural offerings of Qatar Museums, the new concession pricing will also grant non-resident students and large groups (25+) a 50% discount, while children under 16 and ICOM members, as well as employees of Qatar Museums and those who visit the gift shops, cafés, and restaurants, will all be able to do so free of charge.
