H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the chairperson of Qatar Museums, will chat with "some of the brightest minds in the creative industries" on her podcast, "The Power of Culture."
"How does a geographically small nation like Qatar deal with the big issues facing the world of culture today?" is the first question Sheikha Al Mayassa poses in the promotional film that she uploaded. Sheikha Al Mayassa adds that she is honoured to respond to these and other inquiries in her capacity as Chairperson of Qatar Museums, an organisation tasked with upholding and promoting the country's cultural legacy.
"I genuinely feel culture is the most powerful means of bringing people together, sparking the kind of dialogue that enables us to learn, grow, share ideas, and break down barriers," Sheikha Al Mayassa said in the caption of her Instagram post announcing the formal opening of this. "People from all over the world have always been able to experience Qatar's culture and heritage," the speaker continues, attempting to carry on this tradition with this podcast.
Sheikha Al Mayassa adds that some of the sharpest brains in the creative business will be included in every episode of The Power of Culture podcast. Her own thoughts and discussions on the wide range of initiatives—past, present, and future—that are constructing the nation's strong creative economy and cultural environment will also be featured in the podcast.
