Participants in this challenge make and serve three different drinks to a panel of judges. Competitors perform two coffee services in the first round: an open service and a mandatory service.
Competitors make three drinks for the required service using whole-bean coffee that the competition provides.
Competitors may use whichever whole-bean coffee they choose for the open service, and they must also show their beverage preparation.
The final round, which consists solely of an open service, will be contested by the competitors who received the highest score in the first round. The winner will go to the World Brewers Cup. World of Coffee Jakarta, which will be hosted at the Jakarta Convention Centre from May 15–17, 2025, will host the World Brewers Cup.
