News EventsQatar National Library is offering summer activities for children, young adults, and those interested in research and learning. Highlights of July include the summer camp activities for young adults, the children’s summer reading challenge and a lecture on the evolution of the image of Arabs in Western cinema and press.
Starting 1 July, The Library, in collaboration with Little Thinking Minds, will be holding a summer reading challenge for children between 7-14 years to encourage them to read during the summer break.
On 3 July, the Library invites members of the public to attend a lecture in collaboration with the French Institute in Qatar and the Doha Film Institute, to discuss the evolution of the image of Arabs in Western cinema and press. The lecture will be delivered by Slimane Zeghidour, a French-Algerian journalist, writer, researcher for prestigious newspapers and current editor-in-chief at TV5 Monde.
