Qatar Olympic Committee unveiled its 2024 sports calendar that features 85 competitions including 15 major international ones

NewsOn Wednesday, the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) revealed its 2024 sports schedule, which includes 85 events, 15 of which are important international contests. The World Aquatics Championships Doha 2024 will get underway in grand style from February 2 to February 18, at several sites around the country.
This renowned competition is an important Olympic qualification event for 2024 in Paris. After that, from February 23 to March 3, there will be The World Aquatics Masters Championship. The Hamad Aquatic Centre, the Old Doha Port, and the Aspire Dome will host these events. The Legends League is scheduled to take place in February, hosted by the QCC. Qatar TotalEnergies Open (starting on February 11) and Qatar ExxonMobil Open (starting on February 24) are the two main yearly tennis tournaments held by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation.
The 2024 Commercial Bank Qatar Masters will be held in the same month at the Qatar Golf Association. Two significant international events are scheduled to take place in the nation in March. The VW-Beach Pro Tour Elite16 competition will be managed by the Qatar Volleyball Association, while the Ooredoo Qatar Major 2024 padel event will be overseen by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation.
The ISSF Final Olympic Qualification Championship Shotgun will be held in April by the Qatar Shooting and Archery Association, while the 2024 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup will be hosted by the Qatar Gymnastics Federation.
In June, the FIBA 3x3 World Tour will be held at the Qatar Basketball Federation. The Volleyball World Beach Tour Finals will take place in December, while the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation will host the September QTerminals Classic Squash Tournament.
The Qatar Fencing Grand Prix - Epee, HH The Amir Sword International Show Jumping Championship, CHI Al Shaqab (both equestrian), Doha Diamond League (athletics), Qatar International Taekwondo Open Championship, Qatar International Handball Championship, and Qatar International Weightlifting Cup are among the 37 international championships that will take place in Qatar in 2024.
The FIBA Asia Cup 2025 Qualifiers - Windows 1 & 2, the Asian Junior Squash Open, the Asian Padel Championships, the AFC U23 Asian Cup, and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup are among the 13 Asian competitions that Qatar will hold.
The Arab Age Groups Aquatics Championships will be held at the Arab level by the Qatar Swimming Association from January 10 to January 15.
The GCC U15 Basketball Championships, GCC Aquatics Championships, GCC Padel Championships, and the 26th and 15th GCC Golf Championships for adults and kids, respectively, will all take place in Doha. Throughout the year, there will also be a tonne of regional and community events.
