MWC Doha will be held in Qatar for five years in a row, a first for the Middle East and North Africa, according to the State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).
HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and John Hoffman, CEO of the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA), signed the official hosting agreement Tuesday during a ceremony attended by senior GSMA officials on the sidelines of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona.
Al Mannai underlined that the gathering provides a worldwide forum to promote cooperation and information sharing between businesses and specialists. In line with Qatar National Vision 2030, he said, this project will quicken digital transformation and establish Qatar as a global center for digital innovation.
The first edition of MWC Doha will highlight the most recent developments in financial technology, artificial intelligence, mobile technology, and smart networking. It is scheduled for November 25–26, 2025. The event will also cover important subjects including sustainability, digital inclusion, and emerging technologies, offering a special forum for cooperation and information sharing.
