H E Hamid, the minister of Bangladesh, said during the signing ceremony for the agreement, "This is indeed another milestone in this strong bilateral relationship between the two friendly countries having a long bilateral time based on mutual respect." Hamid stated that Bangladesh has become "one of the fastest-growing economies globally" and that the LNG supply will satisfy the rising need for energy. The Minister emphasised that with Qatar's assistance, the South Asian nation "hopes to overcome" forthcoming obstacles in the energy industry as the two nations prepare to enter into a new agreement. Furthermore, Hamid emphasised that Qatar has been a top energy goal, and that with good communication, corporate assistance would advance all sectors, including LNG.
