Qetaifan Projects announced launching of retail units on the canal at Qetaifan Island North

NewsQetaifan Projects recently announced the launching of the waterside retail, café, and restaurant units on the canal at Qetaifan Island North. The announcement was made Tuesday, June 21, at Cityscape Qatar 2022, which is wrapping up at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre today.
Rixos Hotels operates the waterside retail and festival plaza, as well as the Beach club, hotel, and Meryal waterpark. Among the retail services available on the island are canal-side cafes and a variety of restaurants ranging from quick service to fine dining. Retail and festival plaza areas have 92 units, including the Meryal waterpark area with a capacity of 6,500.
The waterside retail, café, and restaurant units are located in three adjacent areas, around the world-class Meryal waterpark, a 5-star luxury hotel operated by Rixos Hotels, and the entertainment and Souq area. With a total area of 12,300 square meters on the banks of the canal, in addition to 1,400 square meters of parking spaces.
His Excellency Sheikh Nasser bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Managing director, Qetaifan Projects, said, “the retail and festival plaza units are important to all regions because it works as an attraction spot, and the attraction increases depending on the region and the facilities surrounding it.”
“the retail plaza and festival plaza units are located at the heart of the island and are among other assets, they are considered as the main engine of the surrounding facilities, perhaps the most prominent of which are Meryal waterpark, beach club, hotel, in addition to the facilities that the retail and festival plaza units are providing on the canal-side and the various entertainment events that will contribute effectively to the revitalization of tourism,” His Excellency added.
On this occasion, Mr. Hesham Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer, Qetaifan projects, said: “The retail units are part of Qetaifan Island North real estate development plan, which in turn will also enrich the business assets at Lusail City.”
