QNL announces the launch of a new reading space from 29 August to 30 September 2024 in Place Vendome Mall

The Qatar Reads program of the Qatar National Library (QNL) in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture and QNL are pleased to announce the opening of a new reading area at Place Vendome Mall from August 29, 2024, until September 30, 2024. 

The goal of the activity is to get people in the community reading, buying books, and getting involved in kid-friendly activities in a lively setting of socialising and shopping. It is also intended to be a friendly space where people of all ages may discover new interests, get lost in thought-provoking literary discussions, and immerse themselves in engrossing reading.

A variety of events will take place in the reading area as part of the activation, such secondhand book donations that will encourage knowledge sharing among community members. It will also feature books from Qatari publishers such as Dar Roza, Dar Al-Watad, Dar Napjah, and Ktateeb, as well as publications from the Ministry of Culture itself. 

The reading area will also offer a chance to learn more about the many programs that Qatar Reads oversees, such as the Family Reading Program, which brings families together for reading and education with the goal of fostering stronger community ties. Additionally, graphic designer and artist Zainab Al-Shaibani from Qatar will have artwork on display during the event.
