The Artificial Intelligence Organisation and the Kindi Centre for Computing Research (KINDI) of Qatar University (QU), which is part of the College of Engineering, have introduced the first Future Tech Forum. A variety of workshops, seminars, and panel discussions will be held throughout the event with the aim of showcasing real-world applications and solutions in the rapidly developing fields of artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The Future Tech Forum is an innovative programme that provides a roadmap for the future and is in keeping with the goals expressed in the National Cybersecurity Strategy and the Artificial Intelligence Strategy. In keeping with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030, QU is dedicated to developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions and promoting cybersecurity in Qatar through the forum.
In addition to media sponsors Taswar and Social Jet, Fotad Company is a Contributing Sponsor. The event is sponsored by the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) and Vodafone in the Platinum category, Qatar Aluminium and QNB in the Gold category, and Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO) in the Bronze category.
In the era of developing technology and artificial intelligence, Khalid Al Hashemi, Director of the National Cyber Empowerment and Excellence Affairs at NCSA, spoke about the rising significance of cybersecurity. He underlined the need for cooperation to address urgent problems in the domains of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, as well as the role that research institutions must play in fending against developing cyberthreats.
The artificial intelligence organisation and Dr. Abdulaziz Al Ali, director of the Kindi Centre for Computing Research and advisor to the organisation, emphasised the significant effects of AI on a range of areas and its potential to redefine occupations and standards in the future. By working with local and foreign business enterprises as well as government organisations, the forum hopes to accomplish research goals in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
The Artificial Intelligence initiative is a student-run initiative that hosts events, workshops, and seminars with industry professionals to raise awareness of artificial intelligence and its significance in contemporary society. The KINDI Centre promotes and facilitates research at QU in the fields of computer and information science and engineering by utilising current local and international connections and capitalising on the critical mass of research effort in this significant subject.
