Registration and transfer reopened for students of all nationalities in government schools

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has reopened registration and transfer for students at government schools of all nationalities for the next academic year 2024–2025. According to the ministry, students of all nationalities enrolled in government schools who fulfil the entrance requirements can register and transfer online via the Maaref portal for public services on the ministry's website (edu.gov.qa) from yesterday until September 30, 2024. The ministry's social media accounts posted the announcement. 

Students for the nationalities permitted for admission must register through their schools in accordance with the requirements specified in the admission policy that has been authorised by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.

To make the process of registering pupils in public schools easier for parents, the ministry offers an electronic service that allows them to register their children in public schools by applying online. Permitted groups may use this service in compliance with the authorised registration and admittance regulations.

Children of Qatari nationals as well as those of the Gulf Cooperation Council can register their children in public schools.
